Something To Think About

There are mortgages, car loans, medical bills, credit cards, and the list goes on and on. What happens when you don't have the money to make payment when the time comes? You can be charged late penalties, taken to court and/or have the what was purchased be taken back. In most cases an I O U simply won't work.
Now I ask you to consider the debt we owe to Jesus. He paid the debt he did not owe, one we could not pay. No price tag can be put on forgiveness of our sins and eternal salvation. There's not enough money in the world, never has been and never will be. But God doesn't need or want our money. Our burnt offerings aren't pleasing to him. He doesn't want ritual or religion. He wants relationship us. He wants our true and sincere love. He wants us to love him like he loves us. And he loves us so much that he's not going to send the repo man to take back our salvation because we can't or don't make a monthly payment to him. That's just not what he wants from us at all.
He paid the debt I couldn't pay. He paid the debt he didn't owe. I know who I owe. Do you?
